Hello Families!
This week we have been learning about the many animals that call the polar regions home! Specifically, we have been talking about penguins and polar bears. Your children are bringing home a lesson that they did exploring polar bear camouflage. Please ask them to explain this activity to you. On Friday, we will also be doing a polar bear blubber experiment that I know they will LOVE to tell you about! Have fun discussing these wonderful creatures at home.
The next two weeks will be full of Gingerbread Men, Boys, and Girls! We will be reading various versions of this great tale. If you have a unique version at home that you would like to share, please send it to school with your child. Make sure your name is written somewhere inside.
Barbara brought in a great story to share with our class this week. The book "The Elf on the Shelf" is about an elf that reports to Santa every night on whether the children in the house were naughty or nice that day (hmmm)! If you are interested in this fabulous tale, check out the website: www.elfontheshelf.com
The next 10 days will fly by! Please keep checking your email, the blog, and folders for updates, notes, and reminders!
Happy Holidays!
