We have a busy two weeks before our week long Thanksgiving Break! Please check your child's folder and the blog for updates, reminders, and new information.
For this week:
Wednesday, Nov. 7th the Scholastic Book Orders are due! Remember you can order online with your credit card, or you can return your order and check to me at school.
Thursday, Nov. 8th we will be doing our Jog-a-thon! Thanks to the two moms who offered to bring the water and juice bars. The students will be jogging from 10:45-11:00am up on the track. Parents that are there can help pin on their paper that will become a tally record of how many laps they completed. If you can, please stop by to cheer them on!
Friday, Nov. 9th is our field trip to Natural Bridges! I will send a note to parent drivers early next week and then a reminder to everyone on Thursday. This is always a fun morning, but can be chilly - so dress in layers.

This week we also beginning blending simple short a words (ex. cat, man, hat, bat). We will read our first "little book" next week titled "Nat at Bat." Anytime little books come home, please make sure to have your child read them multiple times for practice!
Over the next two weeks I will be assessing your students in Language Arts and Math for the report cards that come home on Nov. 16th! Keep practicing those letter sounds and the first 7 high frequency words I posted above. Thanks for your support at home!
